About
I started in construction at 18. On the tools, not as a consultant. A finance degree later, what I'd noticed years earlier became painfully obvious: contractors are exceptional builders, and completely swamped on the backend.
The complexities of job costing, compliance, payroll, and systems that don't talk to each other clearly were not being managed, and those qualified to help don't speak the language. I saw the gap and decided to fill it.
Today my team and I work with contractors from $1M to $10M who are serious about growth. Yes, we do bookkeeping. But don't think of me as your bookkeeper. I'm your financial partner. We start with clean books and real job costing, then grow with you the whole way, from your first accurate numbers to full financial management and enterprise ERP through our partnerships with JobTread and Acumatica.

If you're a specialty trade contractor at $1M to $10M+ in revenue and serious about scaling, yes. We're the best fit for growth-minded companies that want a strategic partner to build real systems, not a hands-off data-entry service. This is a collaborative relationship, and we require mutual commitment to implementing solutions that move the needle.
Project-based and recurring monthly services are both billed at fixed rates. One-off tasks outside our agreed scope are handled at an hourly rate. All pricing is provided upfront.
We evaluate the quality and compliance of your accounting while mapping your internal processes, controls, and systems. You'll get a plain-English report breaking down the good, the bad, and the ugly from both a numbers and systems perspective, plus a clear plan to fix it.
You'll work directly with our team. We utilize trusted Canadian partners for specific tasks, but everything is personally overseen and vetted to ensure absolute quality.
A meaningful amount upfront. Fixing broken systems requires mutual commitment. We won't get the right outcome unless we're both all-in. Once that foundation is solid, things become significantly less demanding as we automate and streamline your operations, transitioning to brief, strategic check-ins.
No. We are construction financial systems specialists, not tax CPAs. We handle the month-to-month accuracy, job costing, and system health so that your books are 100% tax-ready. We can also collaborate directly with your CPA at year-end to ensure a seamless filing.
It depends on your size. For smaller contractors, we use QuickBooks Online and Dext alongside your existing tools. As you grow, we layer in JobTread for advanced job costing. For larger firms outgrowing a fragmented tech stack, we step up to Acumatica. We also build financial workflows around platforms like Buildertrend, CoConstruct, and Procore. We'll evaluate your current setup during your free assessment and close any gaps together.
Every engagement starts with file initiation, the mandatory setup to get your account structured correctly: chart of accounts, workflows, reporting framework. If your historical books also need fixing, we add a cleanup: a retroactive review and recategorization of past transactions to resolve old errors. We typically target a one- to two-month turnaround, though the timeline depends on scope and how closely we're able to collaborate.
